Because that is a pretty good place to start…
Lot 1 at yesterday’s Tattersalls Somerville Sale in Newmarket. A gorgeous bay filly by Mostahdaf out of Hilary Needler Trophy winner Lady Ayrsome. It felt as if we nicked her for 12,000 Guineas whilst others were battling with motorway trauma or chasing runny fried eggs around their breakfast plates…
Time will tell. But whatever happens on the racecourse, she has a decent pedigree to ensure residual broodmare value. And she is Great British Bonus (GBB) qualified meaning that there are alluring financial incentives if / when (!!) she wins her maiden..
She came from a good home and has been well prepped – and we are delighted to have her on the team…
The early bird…
Or so nearly not “early” as the M25 threatened to congeal into logjam on a couple of occasions. “Waze” to the rescue, and we made it in time to push a fried egg around a plate before Anthony Bromley’s wave of his catalogue secured our first buy of the day…
Joining her on the lorry home will be a handsome bay colt by Dragon Symbol (Lot 95) out of an Oasis Dream mare, and a stunning son of Kameko (Lot 173). 2027 dreaming…!!
For Sale….!!!
Come and join in the fun…
Day One at “Grown Up School” for CashinoRoyale today. Debut at Salisbury. Lovely horse, but today is all about him having a cool experience. Little steps. Benoit to do the steering…
In other revelatory news, QPR are top of the league….?!
What the hell…??
Home over that Dartford Bridge and around that M25 thingy in time to see the boys beat Cardiff 2-1. Unbeaten after four. Sadly, we know how this ends. Or just maybe…
Isobelle Chalmers riding out. A Gooloogong Cesarewitch plan perhaps….??
And the Racing Post’s Lee Mottershead here to watch his godson Henry ride out…
Busy is good….
