Of wind. On millpond sea….

The Crown Prince’s Cup. Group 3. $200,000 in the pot…

Eight runners, and Nesthorn flying our flag. Brilliant on his Bahraini debut, and bounced up to a mark of 101 from 93….

Not so good last time. The traffic not great. Hi Royal a ready winner, and in opposition again today. Along with last year’s King’s Cup hero Sovereign Spirit. Cracksking for Shaikh Isa and the Kublers. Very competitive – which is what $200,000 horse races should be all about…

Prize money down to 5th, and it would be fantastic to grab some part of it…

Callum Shepherd up for the first time, and he knows his way around here better than most…

Max Mayhem and Desert Cop not adding to our desert roll of honour last night…

Max a disappointment given that his jockey Lee Newman was bullish about his first two runs out here. Old legs take plenty of nurturing. We will freshen him up, and most likely give him one more go in The Kingdom at the beginning of March…

Desert Cop running a lovely race, and Lee thought that he was going to pick up and win at the furlong pole. It was not to be – but absolutely nil disgrace, and a “bounce back” effort after an underwhelming run last time when drawn in the wrong Kingdom…

Desert Cop is in again today. And if all is well when the vet sees him trot up later, those dice might well be rolled. A Local Grade 2 – and we are wrong at the weights. But nothing for him here for 3 weeks, and so plenty of time to freshen him up. And you earn nothing standing still in a stable…

One of the biggest race days of the year in this Kingdom that has become a second home…

Fun to be involved. More fun if Lady Luck favours our guys. Here’s hoping…
