“Buy Of The Day….”
Tattersalls Yearling Sales Book 2…
The Thoroughbred Daily News carrying the following piece…
“Blow it up ref. It might be time to discontinue this segment because there may never be a better buy than the 5000 Guineas that Anthony Bromley went to on a Lope de Vega colt from Fittocks Stud. Four legs ? Check. A tail ? Indeed. Two eyes and a head you might ask ? Yep. Okay, in all seriousness, we obviously are not privy to how the horse vetted, but he was bought by one of the best judges in the game and, physically at least, there was very little to crib about the colt apart from the fact that he looked like he could do with a bit of time. At just 5000 Guineas, which is around €190,000 less than the stud fee, Lot 652 has to be deemed seriously good value. Frankly, it left an awful amount of people dumbfounded on the day.”
He is stunning. He will need plenty of that most important commodity of all – time….
We will not rush him. We will listen to him. And the years ahead will tell whether we are lucky enough to have picked up one of the Tattersalls bargains of all time….
“I expect a flurry of hands in the air….”
