And circumstances…

Can contrive to send days in different directions to those that have been planned…

Plenty of both through yesterday morning, and no time for my daily musings / witterings. I am certain that you somehow muddled through without them…

Our 1966….??

Or a lethargic early exit. Promptly followed by sun kissed footballers jumping off high boats in the Mediterranean. England expects – but should we…..??

Most of these guys must be leaden legged and exhausted after months of incessant football. Physical and mental fatigue. Hardly bouncing out of the stalls like frisky 2-year-olds on debut. Battle scarred and hardened and close to exhausted. Of course, the opportunity to play in a World Cup should energise the soul. But the lurking “Club over Country” mantra cannot be totally ignored…

This is not meant to be trumpet blowing, but our team has an exceptional record with horses that arrive here from other yards. Actually, that was blatant trumpet blowing, but why the hell not. Rooftops are to be shouted from…

Sandown later. Not midsummer June ground, and certainly a variable with young horses. But Perigord Noir has shown a tough and willing attitude and, whatever happens today, he is going to continue to improve in every way with maturity…

Neil on his way to Goodwood – and so Tom Marquand a more than able deputy…

Third run – and nurseries come into the picture after this…

Weather scuppering a few weekend plans. “Soft” in going descriptions not to be expected on the weekend before Royal Ascot. And the forecast for next week that looked “blazing hot” a few days ago now looks much more variable. Rain emojis beginning to slide up the inner of those sunny ones…

In other sport, Stokesieeeeee…….???!!!
