Did for Calafrio at Chelmsford last night. Wide and hard. Not her night – but Neil Callan happy with her, and she will win again…
Different lives….?!
Our lives in this bonkers sport are a mixture of exhilarating, exhausting, brilliant, stressful, fun, funny, pressurised and just plain silly at times…
No hiding places. Results for all to see. No big Boardroom door to slam shut and hide behind…
On the train on the way home from London yesterday, I came across an article on this fellow. Who lives his life slightly differently to me. Maybe our life ain’t so bad after all…
He’s called Jason –
“I wake up naturally most mornings, usually at about 6am. (LUCKY YOU JASON) Before I even move, I go into what I call my “pillow meditation”. (JASON…?!) It’s something I’ve done for years – lying still and breathing deeply while I bring my intentions for the day (?!)”
“So I lie there, eyes closed, and breathe in the life I want to create. Today is a good day. I’m a powerful source for good in the universe. (JASON !!!!)
“I care about lunch. That’s where I get serious about vegetables, protein and whole foods.” (YUP – I CARE ABOUT LUNCH TOO JASON – JUST SLIGHTLY DIFFERENTLY)
“In the evenings, I downshift. I use Therabody jet boots to recover while scrolling social media, which for me is actually a way to decompress, not work.”
There’s more – but I’m too exhausted by his life…
Anyway, I’m meeting him for lunch next week. Mixed Grill, a bottle of Burgundy, lots of vegetables….
Or maybe I will find somebody more on my wavelength…
Back to life, back to the reality of Budget dust settling. Unsettled bookmakers are not good for the funding model. Which is “not good” anyway…
One runner for us. MASSIMO BLUE back to Southwell with Cieren Fallon up. They won well there a couple of runs back…
