Every winning day is a “red letter day”, whether we are racing at Royal Ascot, Glorious Goodwood, or “Downtown Dunstall Park” (Wolverhampton). Winning on the bigger stages is a prime objective, but seeing the less talented horses pass the post first is just as rewarding. Finding the right race for our horses is imperative, and long hours with both the UK and Continental Programme Books have been rewarded time and again. We have never been scared to travel our horses to far flung outposts when a winning opportunity arises. Have horse, will travel!

We have travelled extensively across Europe and the globe with runners. We took a horse to run in the Spanish Arc in 2015, and have had winners in Holland, Belgium, France, Switzerland and Germany. Further afield, Belgian Bill won the Group 2 Anatolia Trophy in Istanbul in 2016, adding to his win in Dubai the previous year. Ancient Greece made history on St Moritz’s frozen lake when winning at all three February meetings in 2013, and in 2020 Wargrave won the prestigious Group 2 Grosser Preis von St Moritz on the ice. Sir Alex Ferguson’s If I Had Him was Champion horse in the Channel Islands in 2014, and the ridiculously named George Baker won the Jersey Guineas the following summer.

In recent years, a satellite yard in the Kingdom of Bahrain has kept us busy through the winter months, and the victories of Lucander, Get It and Kiwano have cemented our long term commitment to the region.

There have been several very special days on these shores, and winners at the biggest Festivals. Belgian Bill’s stunning win in the 2013 Royal Hunt Cup was a momentous occasion, and Get It’s brilliant “pillar to post” victory in Goodwood’s Stewards Cup is a day that will live long in the memory.
