Six to one on….
Buying money. Hope you lumped on. Never in doubt…
Arsenal are the Premier League Champions. Relief the overriding emotion for many Gunners fans who have had to deal with traumatic wobbles as the finishing line drew closer…
A few short weeks ago, they were surpassed by Manchester City as title favourites. This morning, there is a red glow over North London. And a Champions League Final to look forward to. I presume that they will play their third eleven against Palace on Sunday – what are the rules on that one…??
And to add further glee to the celebrations, Tottenham were beaten by Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. Jeopardy still. The seats to the right of Mark and I last night were filled by a couple of large Spurs fans. Pretending not to be Spurs fans. “We don’t really support a football team….”
Hysterical….
Spying Southampton thrown out of the Play Off Final. That will learn them..
Blimey, two blogs in two days that have majored on football. And not a mention of QPR. Obviously…
Rain around. Raining in Central London just now. “Soft” creeping into a few going descriptions. Water on water on watered ground…
BACK TO BLACK wheel spinning her way up the Lingfield turf yesterday. She is better than that…
FIZZY BEAR (Jack Mitchell) to Kempton this evening. Learning and improving and growing up by the day…
I will be there to saddle. After the Simon Rivett-Carnac Golf Day at Windlesham Golf Course. Remembering our great mate….

And finally…
A drum that needs beating. Very hard. The “onboarding” of new owners is farcically complicated, and the “support” from within is negligible. Attracting new owners to our sport is our goal – but the bureaucratic melange and muddle that goes with the new ownership experience is depressing…
“This is supposed to be fun….”
I have heard that on many occasions as another dull and confusing email slides into an owner’s inbox. We should and we must do better. Often those charged with these matters slip away to easier positions having worked out that required change is a hundred furlongs away…
A sense of underfunding and understaffing. But also a sense that this all sits in the “too tricky’ file. The BHA and Weatherbys need to have a long hard look at this – and at themselves…
Another cool Derby…
