A fabulous four days of sport – but the lustre had waned, and several have turned their backs. Getting them back is the hard part. Plenty have found that a comfortable sofa, excellent TV coverage and a few mates to share a glass with is an eminently more affordable and alluring prospect. And there are big screens in Benidorm too…

Guy and his team have a tough job to re-engage with those who have decided to spend their pound or their euro elsewhere but I’m certain that he will give it a proper go…

A vibrant Cheltenham is essential to Jockey Club coffers and is pivotal in determining their funding plans across other tracks…

I buy around 6 pints of Guinness each day at the Festival. I reckon. Not all for personal consumption – obviously. But a round of drinks for mates will see a daily saving of about £1.80. Let’s say £10 over the meeting. Sounds like enough for a life changing antepost accumulator…!!
