After the first Bahrain Turf Series went well…
All three horses who ran on Friday night have come out of their respective races in good order – and the Programme Book is well thumbed as we plot their routes through the weeks ahead…
The Handicapper Phil Smith was not, unfortunately, otherwise engaged when Nesthorn stormed clear up the centre of the track. Up 8 pounds to a mark of 101. We will be at the top of the weights for sure for his next Turf Series run. And that next run will determine whether we stay in the Turf Series races or head for the heights in races like the Crown Prince’s Cup and The Shaikh Nasser Trophy….
Always good to kickstart a campaign with a winner. An easing of the pressure and a dropping of the shoulders having got an early strike on the board – but just a start, and plenty of plotting and planning still to come…
Desert Cop nudged up a pound to 93 after his excellent 4th placing in the Sprint, and Max Mayhem down two to 95…
Huge credit to the “win treble” of Candida, Sophie and Harriet who masterminded the travel to the Kingdom and the first strike so brilliantly. Top Girl’s Team….
Nesthorn and Max Mayhem our last runners of 2025. A fabulous way to bring down the curtain on a year that we will never, ever forget. The Epsom adventure growing wings, and some exciting new horses on the place. A year that was always going to be pivotal – and now we can launch into 2026 with some very cool people and horses at our side…
Let The Games Continue….
