MUST BELIEVE running huge and mighty. Dead heating for 3rd in a hot race at 50/1. The winner looks like a potential Pattern performer. Delighted with our horse who was having only his 3rd outing for us, and there is definitely much to look forward to with this progressive type…

Racing with enthusiasm which was great to see, and Jason Watson thought that he was moving into the race with a proper chance at the top of the straight. Ring rustiness told close home, and Jason was not hard on him. Talented beast – and first day of his season…
No runners today. Which is a relief. 38 degrees and motorways and horseboxes and racecourse stables do not fit well. Whatever happened to that directive from that first heatwave weeks ago which implied that racing would be abandoned if temperatures soared above a given level ? That all went very quiet very quickly…
Still no words from our new BHA Chairman Simon Cox. Not a murmur. Keeping his powder dry one assumes ? Locked in a darkened room working away at several cunning plots that will see all the “vested” come together in progressive unity….??
I like it. I like the fact that Simon has not come out all guns blazing. I assume and hope that he is seeking and listening to wise counsel before breaking cover and telling our sport how he intends to lead with strength, integrity and passion…
