Epsom’s “packed” race schedule is finished for another year…

And so for one morning only, we can gallop horses away from the Derby start and to the 6 furlong shute above Tattenham Corner. A great opportunity for young legs to feel grass beneath their hooves. We can never replicate the raceday experience, but every little bit helps…

The climb from the Derby start to the top of the hill before the swing down to Tattenham Corner is similar to the height of Nelson’s Column…

Which is 51.6 metres or 169 feet. Thank you, Chat GPT…

A lead horse and a few of the unraced 2-year-olds. Not a piece of work. Just one more step up that steep learning curve…

MARSH BENHAM beaten 2 lengths at Brighton when “beaten 20 lengths” looked more likely at the foot of the hill. But then Marsh hit the rising ground and flew home. Another stride and he would have finished 2nd. Another furlong….

Bath today. FIZZY BEAR an excellent 3rd at Epsom last time out, and here’s hoping that he can back up the encouragement of that outing…

Weather Apps ablaze as Arc weekend approaches. Some rain. But how much…??

Grass to gallop over. Must dash…
