As we drove down Esher High Street yesterday evening, the temperature guage was registering 32.5 degrees. Which is quite warm. Especially for Esher High Street....
A very good turnout of Eton Ramblers. For the second run of Eton Rambler. The Eton Ramblers are the Old Etonian Cricket Club. Not the Old Etonian Walking Club, as some suggested. The Sandown Executive were apparently on the point of offering us a camping area in the middle of the racetrack. And somewhere to hang up our hiking boots.....
Eton Rambler, the horse, stepping up on his debut effort. A little more streetwise than on debut. Still a little bit of the gawky teenager, all arms and legs. And a little disorganised. But the penny beginning to drop.....

Working several yesterday morning. Humidor, Place In My Heart and Billyrayvalentine going together. As did Bugsys Boy and Bell de Fontenay. And four of the 2-year-olds, Secret Beau, Boomshackerlacker, Sutton Sid and Nenge Mboko. Beautiful ground. Under a beautiful sky. A fine sight....
Lucy Cornell with us with my Godson Harry. A real bonus to have them here....
Two runners today. Sweet Ophelia under Jamie Spencer at Sandown. A filly who has suffered from a few niggardly issues, but who is in good order now. Thriving for a bit of sunshine....
And Danas Present at Bath. Who, quite frankly, has been a disappointment. And needs to start stepping up to the plate....
The Olympics start tomorrow. I cannot say that I have been completely gripped by Olympic fever yet, but I very much hope that is about to happen. The tales of traffic woe from a few London dwellers last night made for depressing listening. A huge number are heading out of town until it is all over. Sounds like a good call....
